Technical Analysis is a method of identifying patterns on charts. It uses historical prices, volume, and other tools to predict the future direction of securities. Although it isn't always accurate, Technical Analysis may be used to determine "when to buy" and "when to sell" a particular security such as stock, gold, or an index fund.
